OREANDA-NEWS. February 22, 2012. The essay contest on The Role and Growth Strategies of the Banking System in the Economic Development of Azerbaijan among students and masters dedicated to the 20 year anniversary of the Central Bank is completed and winners identified, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The contest was held with an eye to study views, thoughts, and proposals of students on the role of the banking system in the economic development of the country, and growth directions of this sector and promote awareness, and students of third and fourth years of bachelor degree of economics and finance, and masters submitted 33 essays to the contest.

The essays were evaluated under the criteria specified in the rules of the contest and here are the results:

- first place goes to the fourth year student of the bachelor degree of the ASEU Aynur Aliyeva for the essay “The Role and Growth Directions of the Banking System in the Economic Development of the Country”;

- second place goes to the fourth year student of the bachelor degree of the ASEU Lala Mirzazadeh for the essay “The Role and Growth Directions of the Banking System in the Economic Development of the Country”;

- third place goes to the first year master degree student of the ADA Samir Valiyev for the essay “Azerbaijani banks and their regional activity”.
