OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2012. Representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) took part in the AlcoCongress organized under “Prodexpo-2012” Business programme - “Alcohol Market - 2012. A New Reality”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Congress was attended by representatives of the authorities as well as representatives of self-regulated organizations, unions, associations, enterprises from various Russian regions.

The Head of FAS Department for Control over the Authorities, Vladimir Mishelovin, discussed FAS efforts towards protecting competition in 2011 on the market of production and sales of alcohol products. He also gave assessment of the current situation and trends for 2012.

“In 2011, the number of participants on the market of selling alcohol products reduced considerably, which affected competition parameters. In 2012 there will be new developments related to tightening state regulation of the market and implementing a programme for dealcoholizing society”, pointed out Vladimir Mishelovin.
