SITRONICS IT Implemented Automatic System for Air Traffic in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2012. SITRONICS IT, one of the leading suppliers of IT solutions, products and services in CIS and Eastern Europe, implemented search and rescue system in republican unitary enterprise for air navigation service of air traffic "BELAERONAVIGATSIA", reported the press-centre of SITRONICS IT.
"Due to necessity to make decisions and perform calculations of forces and means for execution of search and rescue operations in a speedy fashion it was decided to implement special system that would be able to provide high level of automation at solving of similar tasks. System implemented by SITRONICS IT specialists is designed for automation of processes of duty shift of search and rescue coordination center and is integrated with air traffic control system "Sintez". Under the project we conducted work for development of mathematical model for situation forecasting as well as for creation of information base for conducting operational and tactical calculations and providing recommendations for organization of search and rescue works. The system is integrated with means of aeronautical fixed telecommunication network, e-mail, meteorological server and planning system. Information about air situation is submitted into the system via ASTERIX protocol", - stated Aleksandr Sokur, head of Search and rescue coordination center of "BELAERONAVIGATSIA" state enterprise.
"Response time of emergency services in large measure depends on promptness of information receipt about occurrence of crisis as well as of procedures of decisions making. ICAO requirements for security assurance of air traffic were implemented in the system. And not least, functionality of the solution today complies with the best world practices", - states Dmitry Piltyay, General Director SITRONICS IT UKRAINE.
Implemented system performs control over receipt and processing of signal from space system for tracking ships in distress and distress signals from aircrafts as well as over descent of airplanes below minimally permissible heights and over disappearance of airborne radar mark. At occurrence of emergency situations the system warns controller, shows location of aircraft on the map and offers variants of problem solving.
The solution allows on data from history of aircraft movement to calculate its trajectory, define probable place of its fall, organize search and rescue operations. At that the system enables calculation of air and land routes to a crash scene, provides information about nearest fire crews, available medical institutions and their possibilities for provision of medical services to injured persons.
