OREANDA-NEWS.  February 17, 2012.  According to the preliminary data of the association "Ukrautoprom" in January 2012, Ukraine produced 4.8 thousand vehicles, that is 8% more than a year ago and 42% less than the result of the previous month. 

 The volume of the January production of passenger cars amounted to 4,299 units (+2% compared to January 2011). Commercial vehicles were produced in 333 units, which is 3.5 times more than the last year. Bus manufacturers have completed a month indicator with 178 pcs., exceeding the production data of the previous year in 8%.

 The biggest automaker is traditionally Zaporizhia Automobile Building Plant "ZAZ". In January, the share of ZAZ in total auto industry in Ukraine amounted to 78%. The second position in the production took "Eurocar" - 11%. In third place - Kremenchug car assembly plant ("KrASZ"), which covered 8% of the Ukrainian auto industry in the first month of the current year.
