OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2012. Dmitry Patrushev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Russian Agricultural Bank attended the meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group for the Development of the Agricultural Sector under the Russian President’s Commission for Implementing Priority National Projects held by the First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, reported the press-centre of RusAg.

The participants discussed the results of implementation and the main tasks for 2012-2013 of the Federal Targeted Program "Social Development of Rural Areas until 2013", which is a part of the State Program on Agribusiness Development. Particular attention was paid to issues of improving living conditions, including those of young families and specialists, and the quality of life in rural areas.

Funding of this program comes from the federal and regional budgets, as well as extra-budgetary sources. As a result, total funds spent on the social development in rural areas exceeded RUB 275.3 billion over an eight year period, between 2003 and 2011. The main task for 2012-2013 is to maintain the positive dynamics of the indicators of social development in rural areas.
