OREANDA-NEWS.  February 16, 2012. Cargo throughput at EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port (JSC EVRAZ NCSP) in January 2012 totaled more than 516,000 tons, or up 13% over the same period last year, the Company press release said. EVRAZ NCSP said it had accomplished its plan for January by 103.3%.

The bulk of monthly traffic volume was ferrous metal – 376,000 tons. The rest of the volume included aluminum, coke, coal and timber.

JSC EVRAZ Nakhodka Commercial Sea Port, a largest port in Russia’s Far East, located in the eastern Gulf of Peter the Great, the Nakhodka Bay. The year-round navigable Port is connected via Trans-Siberian Railroad with the railway network of Russia and Western Europe. The port is able to handle up to 450 rail cars a day.

JSC EVRAZ NCSP has 15 cargo-handling multipurpose berths and one - for port fleet of total length of 3.5 km. The facilities are able to accommodate ships with draft of 11 m, length of 230 m, and breadth of 32 meters. At least 15 sea-going ships can dock at the port, which can handle annually more than 1,500 large tonnage vessels.
