Bayi Steel Seizes Market with Whole Supply Chain Service

Last year, facing challenges and opportunities in the market, Bayi Steel lowered the sales focus, actively optimized the allocation of resources and seized Xinjiang market with whole supply chain service. Its sales in Xinjiang was up by one time and profitability increases significantly. Throughout the year, Bayi Steel sold 6.493 million tons of steel, among which, 5.173 million tons were sold in Xinjiang, the press-centre of Baosteel.
Last year, Xinjiang welcomed the high wave of urban renewal, low-rent housing, affordable housing and infrastructure engineering construction, which gave Bayi Steel a rare opportunity for development. Meanwhile, Bayi Steel also faced volatility of commodity prices and increasingly intense market competition. After careful analysis of market conditions and sales strategy, Bayi Steel thought that making use of their own brand and geographical advantages, reducing transportation costs, and improving the steel sales ratio inside and outside Xinjiang was the best way to obtain good sales results.To this end, the sales staff lowered the sales focus, started from the optimization of the allocation of resources and seized Xinjiang market with whole supply chain service.
Last year, Bayi Steel extended sales channels to government investment projects in Xinjiang regiments, cities and counties and realized full coverage in totally 257 government investment (purchase) projects in Xinjiang's 85 counties and 172 regiments. There were 149 government point to point projects, with 670,000 tons of demand and it has supplied 460,000 tons.
With key projects in construction, the continued key projects and those in planning in Xinjiang as the basis, Bayi Steel divided market areas, implemented personnel to track and be responsible for the resource, enlarged resource refinement configuration, did the layout of warehouse ahead of time and laid solid foundation for improving market sales ratio inside Xinjiang.Last year, Bayi Steel sales department tracked more than 100 key projects in the autonomous region,and through collaborative sales platform, provided all key projects with full supply chain service. It supplied key projects with more than 900000 tons of steel throughout the year, covering more than 95% of key project market share.
