OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2012. Ukraine annually exports 80 thousands tons of cheese to 16 countries. Thus 65 thousand tons of cheese production domestic producers annually export to Russia. This was stressed by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk on air of the Inter TV channel.

According to the Minister, three plants (which cheeses were banned by Rospotrebnadzor (Russian service) produce more than 30% of cheese exported to Russia.

"That is, the prohibition of export of these plants is significant but not catastrophic. It is no screaming, because we recently had the opportunity to observe how Japan banned the import of agricultural products from developed countries" – the Minister said.
