OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2012. About 50% of the VAT returns automatically. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has declared it during a meeting of Ukrainian-Latvian business roundtable in Riga.

"Already, about 50% of the VAT returns in an automatic mode. I think 2012 will be crucial for us from the viewpoint a deregulation and address urgent issues such as the VAT refund," said Mykola Azarov.

Thus, he stressed that within 2010-2011 the Government pursued a policy of deregulation of the economy and reduction of administrative pressure on business. In particular, it has been cancelled more than 70 types of licenses and introduced the declarative principle of opening business by "one stop window", according to which, if within 10 days denial is not received, the subject of entrepreneur activity can automatically start a business. However, the tax service almost does not spend checks of small and medium businesses, and is focused to audits of large businesses which give more than 80% of tax revenue to the budget.
