OREANDA-NEWS.  February 08, 2012. A delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan led by Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the province of Herat, Mr. Khatebi Haji Sahd, who were on a visit to the Turkmen capital, were received at the Ministry of Building Materials Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

An exchange of views on the prospects to intensify partnership took place during the meetings. It was noted that Turkmen-Afghan economic relations dynamically developed due to the constructive policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to promote cooperation internationally and regionally. In this regard the members of the delegation of the friendly country expressed profound gratitude to the leader and people of Turkmenistan for providing assistance and support for Afghanistan in strengthening the foundations of peaceful and constructive life and reviving Afghan economy, the members of the delegation of the friendly country expressed the keen interest in enhancing fruitful cooperation.

Reaffirming that the two countries were committed to intensifying long-term cooperation, the meeting participants considered the prospects to foster partnership and promote the bilateral agreements on cooperation in the trade and economic, construction and other sectors.

During the visit to Ashgabat the guests were received at the Turkmenmermer Joint-Stock Society where they got acquainted with the activity of this enterprise.
