OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2012. The signing ceremony of cooperative agreement between Nantong COSCO Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd. (CHIC) and Italy Remazel Co. was held in Shanghai. Mr. Li Yunpeng, Executive Vice President of COSCO Group, MR. Xu Kai, President of COSCO Shipbuilding Industry Company, Mr. Cheng Dacheng Vice President of COSCO Shipbuilding Industry Company, Mr. Vittorio Lumina, Chairman of the Remazel Co. and the other representatives of both sides witnessed the signing of the agreement. Mr. Wang Zhihua, General Manager of Nantong COSCO Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd. and Mr. Gianfranco Gamba, CEO of Remazel Co. signed the agreement on each party's behalf, reported the press-centre of COSCO.

According to the agreement, the two sides will co-operate in the fields of high-end offshore equipment. Remazel Co. is a leading enterprise in the Italian offshore engineering equipment.

The cooperation between Remazel Co. and Nantong COSCO Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd is not only beneficial to Remazel's exploiting the market of Far East and China and improving the global strategic layout, also be helpful for Nantong COSCO Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd to achieve the strategic transformation from structure manufacturing to equipment manufacturing. The cooperation is aligned with the strategic planning of COSCO Shipbuilding Industry Company's development of offshore engineering equipment manufacturing.
