OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2012.Ukraine will continue to transfer thermal power engineering to fuel of its own production. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this during visiting Darnytsia energy enterprise.

"We will continue to pass on our traditional sources of fuel, indeed when we have the price of gas over 1500-1600 UAH switching to heating with coal for us is more cost-effective" - Mykola Azarov said.

According to him, the enterprise is an example of "how we specifically decide switching heat and power plant to complex usage of gas and coal". The Head of Government said that at this station has been reduced the use of expensive natural gas due to its partial conversion to anthracite.

At the same time the Prime Minister added attention will be paid on environmental issues of the station. "95% of the emissions of station is localized and we continue to do our best to make this station work in a more environmentally safe mode" - Mykola Azarov said.
