OREANDA-NEWS. February 07, 2012. EuroWeek, one of the leading international financial publications, has named Ukreximbank’s three-year UAH2,385,050,000 Euroclearable Eurobond Transaction as "Deal of the Year, 2011" in the category "Emerging Currency Transactions", reported the press-centre of Ukreximbank.

The Ukreximbank transaction came ahead of top-rated issuers: Russia’s RUB40bln Sovereign Eurobond Transaction due 2018 (second place) and the Netherlands Rabobank’s (rated AAA by Fitch at issue) RUB2bln Eurobond Transaction due 2014 (third place).

The award is given on the basis of nominations and voting by International Eurobond Market participants’ (investment banks, investors etc.) and reflects the financial markets recognition of the innovation and significance of the transaction.

The Euroclearable Eurobond was denominated in Ukrainian Hryvna, but settled in USD, and represented a historical first for a corporate Ukrainian borrower to access the international financial markets directly for UAH.
