Transaero Announced Airlines Operational Results for 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. February 6, 2012. Transaero Airlines announces its operational results for 2011 which indicate the company's stable development with rates considerably exceeding the industry average. It was a record year for Transaero. The company strengthened its position of the country's second-largest air carrier.
2011 Highlights:
Revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) increased to a total of 33,180 million, a 26.2% growth over 2010
Number of passengers carried reached 8,453,371, 27.2% more than in 2010
Freight turnover grew to a total of 3,280 million tkm, a 26.1% increase over 2010
Transaero delivered a total of 51,349 tons of mail and cargo in 2011, up 27.9% from 2010

Transaero Airlines continued implementation of its ongoing fleet development and renewal program by acquiring additional aircraft (including two brand-new Boeing 737-800s) and phasing out all Boeing 747-200 jetliners.
