OREANDA-NEWS. February 06, 2012. The State Tax Service supports equal conditions of taxation for all operators of the tourist market. The corresponding view has been announced during a meeting initiated by the Tax Service experts, with a management of the State Agency of Ukraine for Tourism and Resorts.

In particular, tax officers support making appropriate amendments to item 207.6 to Article 207 of the Tax Code, which governs taxation base for the VAT of transactions in tourist activity of "domestic" operators.

Thus, for representatives of this sector it will be lifted prohibition on the inclusion in costs of value added tax, as a result of travel agencies were forced to pay the total VAT at a rate of 46%.
The State Tax Service upholds the systematic approach to prevent double taxation and is ready to continue constructive dialogue with business on the next steps to improve the administration of VAT.
