OREANDA-NEWS. February 06, 2012. This country’s Medialogia company ranked Sviaz-Bank 26th among Russian banks in 2011. This is a 13-notch improvement on the Bank’s standing last year and one of the most striking changes in the rankings, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

Medialogia’s analysts said that this positive change in the Bank’s standing in the rankings had been influenced greatly by the interview given to Finance magazine by Denis Nozdrachev, President-Chairman of Sviaz-Bank’s Management Board, who said, among other things, that with the market holding its breath in anticipation of the election results, development of banking technologies and optimization of business processes were expected to yield maximum returns.

According to Svetlana Panicheva, head of Sviaz-Bank’s Press Service-Press Secretary, in 2011 the Bank gave much publicity in the media to its two decades on the financial market and its performance results over this period. “The media interest shifted last year to spotlighting the positive trend in the operation of Russian banks, including Sviaz-Bank. There has been growth in publications on loans made to the corporate sector and improvements in the terms of financial services to consumers,” said Svetlana Panicheva. She also said that the number of the Bank’s own press releases rose by 46% in all of 2011, and media references to the Bank increased just as much.
