China to Respond to Antidumping Charges from South Korea
OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2012. A CISA senior official said China will react actively to complaints from South Korea steelmakers accusing Chinese rivals of exporting steel products at below market prices.
He argued most of the steel products sold to South Korea are of low grade, creating little conflict with what major local mills churn out.
From January to November, China exported 9.35 million tons of steel products to South Korea, accounting for 20.7 percent of the countryбпs total steel exports. A chunk of China shipments to that country covers hot rolled steel, wire rod, section and heavy plate.
