OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2012. The Shanxi government will no longer give permission to coke expansion work until the end of 2015, and strive to limit the actual capacity to around 120 million tons across the province.

Data showed China coke capacity could outnumber its demand (380 million tons) by nearly 100 million tons this year.

In the five years through 2015, the province will try to eliminate 60 million tons of outmoded facilities making coke.
