OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2012. Each year, amount of passengers who choose air transport for travelling are increasing. Last year the Ukrainian airlines on international regular lines have been carried 4.3 million passengers - almost 42% more compared to the year 2010. This was stated by the Vice Premier of Ukraine - Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov during a press conference following the results of work in 2011.

"On the international regular lines it is growth by 42%," said Borys Kolesnikov, "Unfortunately, while such growth is not present in our country, however we are actively working over it."

Significant revival was observed during 2011 as well in the domestic market of regular air services: domestic airlines have been carried 1.1 million passengers - a growth rate amounted to 24.8%.

Overall in 2011, domestic airlines have been carried by 22.9% of passengers more than in 2010 - 7.5 million passengers (it is talking about international and domestic flights, both regular and irregular).
