OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2012. Gazprom Neft and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area signed the Additional Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation for 2012.

According to the Agreement, Gazprom Neft will continue supporting the social, economic and cultural projects in Ugra. In particular, it provides for the company's participation in funding the programs and projects in the field of popular sports, health care, support to small and medium enterprises, development of housing and public utilities, intravillage network of motor roads in the Khanty-Mansi district. With the Company's support, it is planned to build a preschool facility in Khanty-Mansiysk, the Ethnic Day-Care Camp for the Children of Indigenous Peoples of the North in Russkinskaya village of the Surgut region, to carry out major repairs and to build social facilities in the Nizhnevartovsk region.

The Company has a long history of successful cooperation with the Area authorities and implements the social projects that are significant for the region. This year, we plan to complete construction of the kindergarten that meets all modern requirements in Khanty-Mansiysk. Traditionally, we support the international Spirit of Fire festival in Ugra. The regional policy of Gazprom Neft is based on the understanding of the close relationship between the business efficiency and the responsibility to the territory where the Company operates”, - said Alexander Dybal, Gazprom Neft Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
