Customs Service Listed to Ukraine Budget 8.3 bn UAH
OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2012. Revenue of customs payments for the month was 8.3 billion UAH that for 36.4% or 2.2 billion more then over the corresponding period of 2011 year and for 700 million UAH more than the Ministry of Finance expected. The head of the State Customs Service Igor Kalyetnik commented on this in the media.
He also noted that Customs Service ended 2011 year with a dynamic flow of taxes to the state budget - 115 billion UAH. In relation to last year, growth was more than 30 billion UAH. "The total trade turnover of Ukraine in 2011 increased for almost 40% and was 150 billion dollars. Against the background of that taxable imports grew by 26% and amounts to 58 billion dollars, taxes on imports grew for 32%. Thus, the State Customs Service provided payments of import growth with accelerated rate compared with the growth of taxable imports"- the Head of State Customs Service noted.
And this is not the result of fiscal pressures, said Igor Kalyetnik. Last year showed that one of the factors of the increasing turnover and revenues to the state budget has become a system work of customs services aimed at simplifying customs procedures, reducing the time of customs clearance and constant open dialogue with business in order to stimulate activity of legal importers and to encourage investments.
Another positive result of the work of the Custom in 2011 is - doubling of imports under direct contracts and the decrease of operations with offshore intermediaries.
