OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2012. In the course of the visit, President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan and Chairman of the Board and CEO of Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg) Dmitry Patrushev discussed prospects for cooperation in agribusiness, development of foreign trade between Russia and Armenia, interbank cooperation with Armenian banks, including agribusiness financing, reported the press-centre of RusAg.
 
In the framework of his trip, Dmitry Patrushev also hold a meeting with the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Arthur Javadyan. Among the issues under discussion were: interbank cooperation with Armenian banks and a perspective of opening of RusAg`s representative office in Armenia for the purposes of business development.

The Government of Armenia considers the development of agricultural sector to be a priority target. Its modernization is declared to result in better outputs and strengthening of the national food security. Proceeding from its broad experience in financing agribusiness programs, Russian Agricultural Bank is interested in strengthening bilateral relations in the agricultural sector and is ready to facilitate an expansion of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation in this area.
