OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2012. According to the executive director of the resident office of EBRD in Moldova, about 80% of means of EBRD were allotted to the private sector. Biggest part of investment has been allotted to back financial institutions and infrastructure projects - 36% and 34% respectively, to support corporative projects – 24%, and to finance energy projects – 6%.

 Iulia Otto made the examples of the 2nd project on rehabilitation of road infrastructure (75 mln. EUR); the project on modernization of Chisinau International airport (25,5 mln. EUR); the project on rehabilitation of roads of Chisinau (11,7 mln. EUR); Medpark, private clinic (7,5 mln. EUR); MallDova, shopping center (21,4 mln. EUR); EFES Vitanta Brewery (USD 18 mln.); the project on backing investments to the energy sector and energy efficiency MoSEFF (20 mln. EUR); projects on cooperation with the financial sector – banks, micro-financing leasing companies, etc.

EBRD will continue supporting projects in the field of energy efficiency and in banking sector, export-oriented projects, small businesses, innovations, business environment improvement projects, etc. At present, the residential office of EBRD in Moldova comprises 12 specialists in the field of support of small businesses and banking sector.
