OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2012. Institute of Hotel Business and Tourism of the People’s Friendship University of Russia in Moscow hosted a presentation of tourism potential of Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia at the support of Fund Forum.

Fund Forum said that representatives of tourism companies, public, academic and business circles of Russia and other countries, students and teachers of the Institute participated at the event.

The photo exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan, its natural landscapes, ancient cities, architecture monuments, tourism sights and modern development of Uzbekistan was also presented within the event.

The goods of arts and crafts, which represent rich culture and traditions of the Uzbek people, attracted interest of the guests.

The organizers of the presentation presented information and presentation materials, books and brochures, which are dedicated to tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

Yelena Shlineva, specialist-expert of Department of International Cooperation of the Russia’s Tourism Federal Agency, said that the Russians are continuing to visit Uzbekistan with great interest and visits to historic cities like Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand are highly demanded. She said that the presentation was impressive and it allows its participants to familiarize with part of ancient civilization. She noted that Uzbekistan is among few countries, which preserved its historic, culture, traditions and national values.
