OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2012. As only 15 percent of all the expected creditors‘ claims have been submitted to the bank „Snoras“, the Bankruptcy Administrator Neil Cooper encourages the creditors not to postpone this procedure to the last days, reported the press-centre of Snoras.

The Bankruptcy Administrator’s team has received just 20,000 from about 140,000 of the expected creditors‘ claims. Half of them were received by post, the other half of the claim forms were filled in by the creditors at the Bank‘s branches.

All the creditors who wish to lodge claims for the bankrupt bank „Snoras“, must do so until the 10 February (inclusive). Following the bankruptcy of the Bank „Snoras“, the term to apply creditor claims was originally until the 20 January. The Bankruptcy Administrator asked the court to extend the deadline, after taking into account the enormous number of the creditors. Vilnius Regional Court, having considered the application of the Bankruptcy Administrator, have extended the deadline for the application for creditors‘ claims until the 10 February (inclusive), 2012.

In order to facilitate this procedure, the Bankruptcy Administrator has developed and published the recommended form for the creditor claims, which is available at the operating branches of the Bank or on the website www.snoras.com.

There are 17 operating branches of the Bank at which the creditors (deposit holders and other claimants) of the Bank may submit their creditor claims, since the reopening on 6 January.  During the extended period all of the 17 branches and sub-branches of the Bank will continue to provide clients with information about accounts, loans and refinancing, and guidance on the calculation of deposit insurance compensation.

Since the beginning of the Bankruptcy Administration, approximately 30,000 clients have been served at the branches. By the order of the Bankruptcy Administrator, the „Snoras“ Contact Centre is operating at its maximum capacity.
