OREANDA-NEWS.  January 27, 2012. Starting from the 1st of March, TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, will increase the speed of the ZEBRA Internet plans "Startas" ("Start") and "Bazinis shviesolaidis" ("Basic FTTH"). From March, the speed available to users of "Basic FTTH" will be 50 Mbps instead of 40 Mbps, while to users of the "Startplan – the double-increased speed of 2 Mbps instead of 1 Mbps.

TEO, the company which has developed the most extensive fiber-optic Internet network in Lithuania, is increasing the speed taking into account the growing needs of its customers and the changing content of information on the Internet.

Through its active investments in the next-generation fiber-optic network, TEO has contributed to the fact that Lithuania could become the country deploying these technologies at the fastest rate in Europe. The FTTH network, installed up to the user’s computer, last year allowed offering customers the speed of up to 300 Mbps, which is planned to be further increased in the future.

Along with the increase of the speed, from the 1st of March all users of the Internet plans "Start", "Basic Plus" and "Basic FTTH" will be offered the opportunity to use the services "Saugykla" ("Storage") (the standard price for the service – LTL 4,90 per month) and "Laiko kontrole" ("Time Control") (the standard price for the service – LTL 4,90 per month) for one year (until March 2013) without any extra charges.

From the 1st of March, the monthly fees for the Internet plans "Start", "Basic Plus" and "Basic FTTH" will be adjusted as well. The monthly fee for Start" will be LTL 29.90, while for "Basic FTTH" and "Basic Plus" – LTL 39.90. The discounts applied to the customers, who until now have already been getting discounts on the monthly fees, will remain unchanged.

The new ZEBRA Internet service "Saugykla" ("Storage"), which will be launched from the 1st of March, is an online data storage service, which allows users to store their important private documents, such as documents, photos, videos, archives and other information, in a single location. Each user is provided with 50 GB of storage capacity.

The service "Laiko kontrole" ("Time Control" ) will help users plan their children's leisure time – to limit the time they can spend on the Internet so that enough time is left for other activities. The service allows users to set a specific time when their Internet access will be limited.
