Surgutneftegas Ramps Up Oil Production
OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2012. In 2011, Surgutneftegas produced 60,780,500 tons of oil (up 2% from 2010), where new producing areas – Talakanskoye and Alinskoye fields in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – increased their output by 62% to 5,384,900 tons of oil per year, reported the press-centre of Surgutneftegas.
The Company produced almost 12,940 mmcm and processed almost 7,438 mmcm of gas. Gas utilized by the Company accounted for 95%. At Yakutia fields gas utilization reached 98%. Besides, in the new region we inject gas to maintain reservoir pressure and use it to drive our power-generating capacities.
In 2011, Surgutneftegas drilled 4,746,500 meters of rock. Exploratory meterage totaled almost 216,300 meters, including 29,900 meters drilled as part of the contractual work.
Twenty five drilling crews achieved a record depth of 100,000 meters.
The Company brought into operation 1,403 new oil wells.
