OREANDA-NEWS. January 26, 2012. Business Activity Index of Uzbekistan APIC 100 made up 65.5 points in December 2011, which is 7.5 points more compared to November (58.1), the State Demonopolization Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said that the main factors for growth were completion of contract obligations on goods supplies and signing of new agreements for 2012, etc.

The forecasted figure for January 2012 was 63.1 points, which means restrained optimistic mood of the business entities.

The committee said that the forecast for December 2011 makes up 65.7 points, which says about restrained optimistic mood of the businesses.

The committee noted that current Business Activity Index means favourable trend as it is higher than 50 points and positive dynamic says about the growth of business activity.

The growth was recorded in such sectors as agriculture and water management, production of consumer goods, capital construction and construction industry, healthcare and information technologies.

Business Activity Index in industry sector (APIC 100) was developed in June 2010 and calculated based on survey of 100 large and medium businesses. The APIC 100 replaced the Index APIC 50 (based on survey of 50 enterprises).

The index is calculated based on 5 basic indicators, such as new orders, production volume and realization, employment and ready products at warehouse.
