OREANDA-NEWS.  January 25, 2012. Decree №9s of the Cabinet of Ministers on transfer of lands ,used by State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for housing construction has gone into effect.

Under the decree industrial lands used by SOCAR with total area 106.41 hectares in Baku, Absheron, Shirvan, Salyan and Siyazan have been transferred for individual and cooperative housing construction for oil industry employees. Among them are 30.1 hectares in Lokbatan settlement, 14.78 hectares in Hovsan settlement, 0.1 hectares in Yasamal district of Baku and 5.16 hectares in Fatmai. With this purpose these lands have been transferred to the category of lands under settlements. The decision has been coordinated with Executive Powers of the regions, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, State Committee on Property Affairs.
