OREANDA-NEWS.  January 25, 2012. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey made up USD 3 bn in 2011, according to preliminary data of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan.

In book "Azerbaijani-Turkish relationships over the past 20 years: successes and opportunities" Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic says that bilateral investments are reflected by rather a large sum.

"The volume of Turkish investments in Azerbaijan is USD 6.5 billion and Azerbaijan’s investments in Turkey amounted to USD 4 billion. Turkish businessmen in Azerbaijan have created 25,000 jobs and consider Azerbaijan as their homeland. The two countries rapproach their co-operation ties in the field of agriculture, tourism, education, culture, technology, organize better exchange of experiences between NGOs and increase a number of students receiving education in both states,” the ambassador’s article said.
