OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2012. Baosteel 2011 Annual Awards ceremony is held at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center. In this moving and inspiring ceremony, participants review Baosteel's wonderful moments in 2011,  share the glory and joy of advanced individuals and teams and their firm belief and high-spirited morale of moving forward on second entrepreneurial journey are strengthened.

Baosteel leaders Xu Lejiang, Liu Guosheng, He Wenbo, Ma Guoqiang, Liu Zhanying, Fu Zhongzhe, Dai Zhihao and Zhao Zhouli , old leaders such as Xu Daquan, retired cadre representatives, advanced model representatives, Group Corporation Party and administrative leaders, employee representatives attend the ceremony, amounting to a thousand-odd people, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

The ceremony opens with a short film, "2011 wonderful Baosteel", in which the wonderful moments are recorded in the hearts of everyone.

Group Chairman Xu Lejiang says in his New Year greetings that, in 2011, in the complex market environment, Baosteel maintains the best operating result in the industry. He extends his heartfelt thanks to all staff on behalf of the Group Board and leadership team. He points out that 2012 is an important nexus of the implementation of the 12th five-year plan and Baosteel 2010-2015 planning, that we should grasp overall situation and the general trend, seek new breakthroughs, strengthen our faith, be passionate, make efforts to achieve scientific development, become stronger and better and welcome the 18th Party Congress Meeting with with outstanding achievements.

The ceremony is composed of four chapters, "Baosteel premium products, Baosteel technology", " Baosteel service, Baosteel value" "green Baosteel, Baosteel responsibility" and "Baosteel humanity, Baosteel vitality", vividly recapturing the Group Corporation business sectors' performances which are worthy of sharing in 2011 and showing Baosteel staff 's good morale.

2011 Metallurgical Science and Technology Awards and 2011 Baosteel Technology Innovation Significant Achievement Awards winner representatives, the National Labor Medal, 2010-2011 Baosteel Golden and Silver Taurus Awards winner representatives come to the stage and receive flowers and certificates.

Baosteel worker inventors Han Mingming, Wang Jun, Wang Kangjian, Yang Jianhua, Gao Yuqiang, Chu Bin, Ji Zhiyong, together with Baosteel choir, sing "We workers are powerful". At the end of ceremony, Group Corporation leadership team members come on stage and extend New Year greetings to all Baosteel employees and their families, "Happy Dragon's Year. Wish you good health, success in work and familial happiness!"
