OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2012. To improve the transport situation in Kyiv, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov set a number of tasks on construction and reconstruction of traffic interchanges and bridge passages at the expense of Government budget funds.

 In pursuance of these orders dated August 25, 2011 by the Government Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers there was held meeting "On provision of construction of transport and engineering infrastructure in Kyiv during 2011-2012," which was defined list of facilities, funding sources, provided suggestions to attract domestic manufacturers of metal structures and so on. The Kyiv city state administration has been obliged to ensure the completion of construction of transport infrastructure in the first quarter of 2012.

One of the most important transport problems of Kyiv will be solved by reconstruction of the transport interchange at the intersection of the Peoples' Friendship Boulevard and the Naddnipryanske Highway. This will allow to improve primarily a technical condition of roads and to improve a traffic safety of pedestrians.

Bandwidth transport hub will be increased by 2 times, which in turn will help improve the economic performance of transport at the expense of rerun reduction.

Reconstruction of road junction at the intersection of the Peoples' Friendship Boulevard and the Highway Naddnipryanske in Pechersk district of Kyiv was approved by instruction of the KSCA dated November, 15th, 2011. Estimated value of this object, the client is acting municipal enterprise "Direction of building road and transport facilities of Kyiv" is 286 785.0 thousand UAH.
