OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2012. As it was earlier reported in the media, a number of cities in regions at the beginning of the year increased tariffs on maintenance of houses and constructions more known, as the rent. Initiated by the Prime Minister at last session of the Government detailed consideration of this increase at once has elicited the following facts. Rent has already returned to the previous value in Poltava. In Kherson City Council decision to establish a higher amount of rent to the suspended definition of social control that will control the quality and amount of funds necessary for their payment.

Already fact of the announcement of careful check at once has induced local authorities more balanced approach to approach to an issue of tariffs and has detected officials which wanted to overestimate them. The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services says: tariffs should be carefully justified, consistent with the community, to pass the difficult procedure of public hearings. In addition, the Ministry initiates the introduction of the evidence to consumers the information about the list of services, the structure of prices and tariffs and study its changes. It envisages the incorporation of the position of local communities. Also, plan amendments that will make it impossible to raise rents without newly concluded the State Inspectorate of Ukraine with price control", - Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Anatoliy Blyznyuk said.

According to him, the Ministry makes every effort to ensure that rates in life-support systems forms transparent and bases solely on methods approved by the Government, which ensures failure-free operation of buildings.

"But you need only pay for actual rendered services. This requires an effective public control on the part of consumers!" - Anatoliy Blyznyuk noted.
