OREANDA-NEWS. From 25 March 2012, Estonian Air increases the flight schedule on Vilnius-Tallinn route up to 24 flights a week, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

The early morning flights from Vilnius to Tallinn are operated six times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Late evening flights from Tallinn to Vilnius are operated on the same days, with the exception on weekends, when Saturday flights are operated on Sundays instead.

In addition, Estonian Air will serve the Vilnius-Tallinn route with afternoon flights six times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The additional flights are operated with the 88-seater CRJ 900 Next Gen jet aircraft, the flight time is 1 hour and 5 minutes. 

At present Estonian Air is operating 16 weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays with 33-seater SAAB 340 aircraft.

„The decision to add more flights on the Tallinn-Vilnius route is due to the increased demand and improved connecting flight opportunities in Tallinn. Estonian Air wishes to provide for business travellers flexible flight schedule on the Tallinn-Vilnius route. In addition, we have increased connecting flight opportunities via Tallinn by creating good connections between our European destinations and Vilnius,“ said Rauno Parras, the Chief Commercial Officer of Estonian Air.

„The Vilnius-Tallinn route is extremely important for business segment, which one always keeps looking on time and the punctuality and comfortable service. It is so glad that the additional four flights per day to and from Tallinn will influence Vilnius airport attractiveness for business traveler,” said the Vilnius International Airport Head of Commerce Department Simon Bartkus.

One-way fares on Vilnius-Tallinn and Tallinn-Vilnius route start from 49.90 Euros (173LTL), if purchased from www.estonian-air.com. The price includes all fees and taxes, subject to availability.

Starting from summer season 2012, Estonian Air will offer the fastest air connections from Vilnius via Tallinn to Trondheim, Kajaani, Jyvaskyla, Tartu and St. Petersburg. Other good and fast connections via Tallinn are: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, London, Vienna, Hannover, Helsinki, Kokkola/Pietarsaari, Joensuu, Moscow, Tbilisi, Kiev, Venice and Nizza.

The Tallinn airport is close to the city central, approximately 10 minutes by taxi. In most of the hotels, restaurants, cafes and public places it is possible to use free wireless Internet. Business travelers can find modern and comfortable hotels in the city central next to the main business and shopping streets. Many hotels offer conference, spa, gym etc services in one. The city centre, especially the Old Town, is filled with several high-quality gourmet restaurants which offer traditional Estonian cuisine or menu inspired by other countries’ kitchen. Since everything in Tallinn is close to each other, one can mix business with culture, by visiting museums, churches or Estonian handicraft boutiques.

Estonian Air is among the most punctual air carriers in Europe. In 2011 the 15-minute punctuality of Estonian Air flights was 90.3%, which is about 5 percentage points (4.8) higher y-o-y.
