OREANDA-NEWS.  January 24, 2012.  Тоday, January, 20th, the delegation of United Industrial Corporation "OBORONPROM" (comprising OJSC "MC "United Engine Building Corporation"" and OJSC "Russian Helicopters"), headed by Andrey Reus, OJSC "UIC "OBORONPROM" CEO and a member of the Main Board of Russian Engineering Workers Guild, will visit the enterprises of Perm engine building site. 

The program of the visit includes excursions to OJSC "STAR", OJSC "Reductor-PM", the acoustic laboratory and test bench for testing a pilot engine PD-14 in OJSC "AviaDvigatel", and also visiting the assembly shop of OJSC "Perm Engine Company".  

The key event of the day will be the presentation of the unique industrial complex, the only one in Russia.  It will be launched by Andrey Reus and Oleg Chirkunov, the Governor of Perm region.

The base of the complex is an electron-beam unit "ALD SL" (Germany), intended for spraying ceramic thermal barrier coating to the most vital parts of an aircraft engine - the blades of its turbine. There are only 4 such units in the world. This equipment was bought by OJSC "PMZ" in the framework of the state program of civil aviation development, and it will allow the company to become the parent enterprise of the Center of technological competence "Manufacturing of turbine blades", which will supply its production to all the companies of the United Engine Building Corporation. This exclusive unit was mounted in special state-of-the-art production building, erected at the territory of Perm Engine Company, and developed with regard to energy-saving and lean-technologies. 

In addition to visiting the manufacturing sites of Perm enterprises the meetings of top-management of OJSC "UIC "OBORONPROM" with companies' employees have been planned. There the representatives of OJSC "UIC "OBORONPROM" will tell about the perspectives of national engine building development for the nearest eight years, plans of realization of federal target programs of the industry development, and other tools, used by the state to modernize national aircraft engineering.  More to this, they will answer the questions of Perm engine builders.   

At the close of the visit Andrey Reus will hold the meeting of the Regional department of Russian Engineering Workers Guild. Therein the most actual problems of the national industry will be considered, and also the measures, undertaken by the state, to support and develop the industry.
