OREANDA-NEWS.  January 24, 2012. Anhui saw foreign trade volume up 29.1 percent year on year to 31.3 billion US dollars in last year, of which, export volume climbed 37.6 percent to 17.08 billion US dollars and import volume climbed 20.2 percent to 14.25 billion US dollars.

Anhui secured the 4th place among all six central provinces in China in terms of yearly foreign trade volume, and 16th across the country.

In December alone, foreign trade volume in Anhui totaled 3.11 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 19.4 percent.

High technological products created the new boost to foreign trade, apart from textiles, which saw export volume worths 2.93 billion US dollars, up 41.6 percent year-on-year.
