OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2012. PrivatBank has implemented a unique technology of returning cards withdrawn by ATMs to their holders. Now, if the PrivatBank’s ATM "ate" the card (that usually happens after client entered a wrong PIN 3 times or forgot the card), the client can receive a new card at any bank’s branch in any city right away. Moreover, issuance of a new card instead of the withdrawn one is free of charge.

As noted in the bank’s press service, heretofore the procedure of withdrawn cards returning sometimes took up to several weeks. The procedure of card returning in other Ukrainian banks takes the same time, and the urgent return requires additional payment.

"It was an unpleasant situation before because, if an ATM has withdrawn your plastic card, you had to wait for card returning till it was taken out and handed to the owner – says the Deputy Chairman of the Board of PrivatBank Juriy Kandaurov. - Now clients have no problems with access to their money - the bank issues a new card immediately and for free. Receiving cash in ATM without the "plastic" became available due to our unique "Available Money" service as well."

As noted in the bank, all PrivatBank cards withdrawn by ATMs will now be destroyed to ensure clients' security. Cardholders of other Ukrainian and foreign banks will be able to use the standard procedure of card returning - after the collection of ATMs and receiving the cardholder’s application "foreign" cards will be sent to the bank-issuer.

We would remind that recently PrivatBank introduced a new "Available Money" service that allows customers to receive cash from an ATM without a card. Every day this new service is used by thousands of customers who have lost their cards or just forgot them at home. To order the service a client should call on a special short phone number 3700.

Today PrivatBank has the largest ATM network in Ukraine – 7’507 ATMs. According to the NBU data, PrivatBank owns every third ATM proceeding in Ukraine.
