OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2012. The DNB bank was the 10th most popular employer among job seekers in Latvia in 2011 – that according to a study conducted by Latvia’s leading Internet-based personnel selection company, CV Online Latvia.  The bank was the second most popular employer in the finance sector, convincingly taking first place among the larger banks which operate in the country, reported the press-centre of DNB bank.

The personnel company analysed the number of people who looked at posted job vacancies in 2011 to determine the popularity of potential employers among such people.  The study showed that each vacancy posted by the DNB bank was viewed, on average, 2,300 times.  Some 180,000 people in all looked at DNB vacancies over the course of the year.

“We are proud that potential employees are so much interested in working for the DNB bank,” says the head of the bank’s Human Resources Department , Dace Kaulina. “We need the very best specialists to provide the highest level of services to our clients, and we very much appreciate their work.  We support the professional development of our staff, offering them training and opportunities to gain experience.  We offer interesting work with a professional and dynamic team, as well as competitive wages.”  Kaulina adds that the bank’s partnership with colleagues at the DNB Group in Norway and elsewhere in the world allows staff to learn from international experience and to adopt best practices.

“The most popular employers in 2011 were from the retailing, transport, manufacturing, finance, wholesale, logistics, telecommunications and other sectors,” says Aivis Brodins, head of business development for the bank. “Job seekers are interested in vacancies, and they devote much attention to the reputation of the potential employer.  For that reason, it is completely understandable that the DNB bank is among the top 10.”

The work of the DNB bank is viewed positively not just by potential employees, but also by clients.  In 2011, residents and companies in Latvia were most satisfied specifically with the products and services of DNB – this according to the “Baltic Banking 2011” study which was conducted by the international and independent research firm EPSI Rating.  In Latvia, the bank received the highest rating (74.1 points) from legal entities, and in that segment it was the most popular bank in Latvia and one of the leading banks in the Baltic States.  The bank also received the most points (76.4) in the area of individual services in Latvia.  DNB, moreover, is far ahead of its competitors when it comes to the views of local residents about the services and products that are offered by commercial banks.

CV Online Latvia conducted the study by counting up the number of people who viewed posted job vacancies on the www.cv.lv portal. The study focused on those employers which posted at least 10 vacancies and are among Latvia’s top 100 companies in terms of revenues.  EPSI Rating, in turn, operates in some 20 European countries. It conducted its study in all three Baltic States, interviewing more than 5,000 people in all.
