OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2012. TatNIPIneft continues making methodical efforts aimed at expanding the intellectual property of TATNEFT. The inventive potential of the Institute is addressed to practical developments, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

113 applications for patents for inventions, 9 applications for patents for utility models and 16 applications for official registration of computer programs were sent to the Federal Institute of Industrial Property of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (FGU FIPS) in 2011.

The Institute received 126 Russian Federation patents for inventions, 9 Russian Federation patents for utility models, 13 certificates of state registration of computer programs over the past year. In addition, the Institute received a Canadian patent for the invention "A device for setting a profile liner in the well" and a patent of Kazakhstan for the invention "Drive of the downhole sucker rod pump".

55 patents for inventions, 10 patents for utility models and 13 certificates of state registration of computer programs used in the structural divisions of the Company were filed as intangible assets by TatNIPIneft in 2011.

The inventive activity of TatNIPIneft experts in the past year primarily focused on creating technologies that increase the efficiency of drilling, maintenance and repair of wells as well as on the development of new enhanced oil recovery methods.
