This turbine is part of a more than USD 1.2 billion contract executed with GE for the procurement of 19 Frame 7FA turbines, featuring 183 MW each, and a 20-year maintenance and technical assistance agreement. The MPX-GE agreement will enable efficient implementation of UTE Parnaiba natural gas power generation complex that has already been issued a license to build 3,722 MW.
The UTE Parnaiba will have power generation units totaling 1,531 MW installed capacity. The power supply negotiated in public auctions and with large free consumers will assure an annual revenue of BRL 714 million for a period of up to 20 years. Planned investment adds up to BRL 3 billion, generating more than 1,500 direct jobs. The company also holds an installation license for approximately 2,200 MW.
