OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2012. Mobile operator life:) with the leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei company jointly announced the successful completion of a coherent 100Gbps technology trail in live Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) network.

As a result of test - the bandwidth of existing DWDM network can be increased up to 8Tbps. One of the key factors is 100Gbps coherent technology usage.

Huawei’s solution enables hybrid transmission of 100G services and the existing 10G/40G services on the network, smoothly upgrading the network while not affecting ongoing services. The solution also creates a tenfold increase in the service rate of a single wavelength, which helps life:) effectively resolve the large-bandwidth challenges and maximize return on investment.

Murat Cinar, Deputy General Director - Mobile Network of life:) said: “Our cooperation with Huawei in 100G field test has successfully demonstrated that the 100G transmission system is mature and ready for commercial applications. This solution will help life:) accelerate construction of ultra-broadband networks."

“Huawei is committed to continuously improving its technical innovations and its customer-oriented solutions and services”, said Executive Director of Ukraine Representative office Mr. Zheng Xin “In 2008 Huawei deployed Wavelength Division Multiplexing backbone network for life:) and for all the following years Huawei showed its devotion to enhancement and growth of life:) transmission network through adoption of cutting-edge technologies."

Let us remind that in December mobile services operator life:) has completed Next Generation Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (NG-WDM) project, which was implemented in cooperation with the Huawei company, world leader in the sphere of new generation ICT-solutions development. Due to the modernization and the expansion of DWDM network life:) has increased network access and data transfer rate.
