Azerbaijan’s Incoming Internet Traffic Volume Rose by 4.8%
OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2012. Following 2011 growth of incoming Internet traffic volume was recorded in Azerbaijan.
Communication and Information Technologies Ministry has reported that compared to 2010 this index rose by 35 million minutes last year (+4.8%) and reached 723 million minutes.
According to the Ministry’s volume of incoming traffic during the reported period rose by 22 million minutes (+12.08%) and reached 182 million minutes.
In 2011 the number of international telephone channels rose by 1.206 units and reached 9.116 units.
Capacity of Azerbaijani Internet segment rose 1.4 fold and reached 55 GB/s.
Internet penetration level last year doubled and reached 65%, 50% of which are wideband Internet users.
