OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2012. The Bankruptcy Administrator and his team are pleased to announce that having started the process of making contact with individual safety deposit box holders on November 30th as of the close of business the contents of 363 of 391 safety deposit boxes across the SNORAS Bank branch network nationwide have been collected, reported the press-centre of SNORAS Bank.

The contents of the remaining 28 safety deposit boxes remain secure and the Bank continues to make efforts to contact the owners in order to arrange appointments for them to collect their property. Bank staff have identified that of the remaining boxes some belong to individuals now residing outside Lithuania whilst the owners of others have since died and all efforts are being made to identify their surviving relatives and pass on the contents.

Commenting on this achievement Bankruptcy Administrator Neil Cooper said the following:
“I’m extremely pleased that we have been able to reunite the vast majority of our safety deposit box holders with their property. I’d like to express my gratitude to Bank staff for their hard work in tracing so many box holders and of course to our customers for the patience and co-operation they have shown during this process”.

Customers who still need to make appointments to collect their safety deposit boxes should call the toll free call centre line on 8 800 27 272.
