OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2012. The growth of foreign direct investments in Ukraine amounted to 44.5% in 2011. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a press conference "The results of the Government’s activity in 2011 year", on Friday.

"If in 2008 and in 2009 we had falling growth rate foreign direct investments, in 2010 we achieved a small breakthrough - only 5%, then in 2011 there was held a radical change. The growth rate of foreign investments is 44.5%. Will our country proud of it? Of course," said Mykola Azarov.

He stressed that this was facilitated by accepting of the Tax Code, which created conditions in order to invest in Ukraine's economy was profitable.
