OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has introduced new head Valeriy Khoroshkovsky to staff of the Ministry of Finance.

"I firmly believe that Valeriy Khoroshkovsky will cope with the extremely hard work of the Minister of Finance," the PM said.

He added that Valeriy Khoroshkovsky while working at other positions has proved to be a very responsible person.

At the same time, the Head of Government stressed that it is set the Ministry of Finance very serious objectives and goals, and expressed hope that the newly appointed Head of the Ministry of Finance would continue constructive cooperation with the National Bank.

Prime Minister as a whole positively assessed the work of the previous Finance Minister Fedir Yaroshenko in 2010-2011, directed to ensure of an overcoming the crisis and stabilizing of a financial and economic situation in the country.

 In turn, Fedir Yaroshenko has thanked staff for the fruitful cooperation and wished success the new Head of the Ministry of Finance at such responsible post.

However, Valeriy Khoroshkovsky noted that already today would carry out consultations with the deputy ministers and heads of departments and would explain them the tasks which are set before the Ministry of Finance by the Head of the State. "Before the appointment I had a very serious talk with the President of Ukraine. There were tasks that we should fulfil to achieve those goals, and they are very clear - it is primarily economic and social challenges. And I think that due to human resources, that is, with assistance of the Prime Minister, we will perform these tasks," Valeriy Khoroshkovsky said.

The Prime Minister has wished him successes and achievements at a new post.
