OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2012. Chaba Zentai, Head of Regional Network Department – Senior Vice President, visited JSC VTB Bank Branch in Samara to introduce the newly appointed General Manager of the Branch, reported the press-centre of VTB Bank.

The appointment is made in line with enhancing the performance of VTB branches. VTB Bank Strategy for 2010-2013 is aimed at increasing profitability of its regional offices by transforming them into up-to-date customer-oriented outlets offering a wide range of high-tech banking products.

According to Chaba Zentai, “VTB continues to build up a strong team of general managers in regions. The experience gained by Aleksandr Mokry will help strengthen VTB’s position in Samara region”.

Aleksandr Semenovich Mokry was born in 1955. In 1978, he graduated from S.P. Korolyov Kuibyshev Aviation Institute and was hired Kuibyshev Central Specialized Design Bureau. Starting as an engineer, he soon became head of test sector, and later, head of research planning. In 1993, he joined Samara Metallurgical Plant, and in 1998, after graduating from Foreign Trade Academy of Russia, he was appointed Deputy General Director for Economy.

In 1999, he became Deputy General Director for Subsidiaries and Affiliates, and later became head of Science and Technical Center. Mr. Mokry’s career in the banking sector began in 2002 when he joined International Moscow Bank as Chief Expert of Group for Regional Development of Customer Relations and later became head of the bank’s representative office in Samara. In 2006, he was appointed General Manager of UniCredit Bank (International Moscow Bank) in Samara. In 2009-2001 he worked as General Branch Manager, Head of Regional Retail Network of UniCredit Bank (International Moscow Bank) in Samara.

VTB Branch in Samara was founded in 1998. In 2011, the Branch increased its loan portfolio by 43% to RUB 8 billion, and customer deposits, by 91% to RUB 6 billion. Net fee and commission income amounted to RUB 65 billion, a 48% increase year-on-year.
