PM of Ukraine Demands to Stop Tariff Racket
OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2012. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov put demand to abolish unjustified raise in utility tariffs, which had been made since January 1 by some local authorities.
The Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Anatoliy Blyznyuk has been entrusted to next Wednesday to address to the Government a report what actions have been taken and have to be taken by the Government, the Ministry, regional administrations to stop "tariff racket". This task was announced by Mykola Azarov on December 18 at the Cabinet session.
"There is any reason for raise in utility tariffs" - the Prime Minister said. So "all unfounded decisions have to be immediately abolished and special enforcement actions should be taken to their authors".

"Find out in detail the situation in each region, evaluate the work or inaction of each chapter of the regional administration", - Mykola Azarov said. - Prepare for next Wednesday to the government a report on the findings that have made, and measures which have to be taken by the Government, the Ministry and regional administrations to stop the "tariff racket".
