OREANDA-NEWS.  January 18, 2012. Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has received Deputy Assistant of the USA Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubi.

Azerbaijani MFA reports that at the meeting E. Mammadyarov noted importance of cooperation expansion in different spheres between Azerbaijan and the USA. In turn Eric Rubi highly evaluated Azerbaijan’s contribution to provision of international peace.

At the meeting the sides exchanged opinions on situation in Middle East and South Caucasus, peaceful negotiations on Armenian Azerbaijani Nagorno Garabagh conflict regulation, development of cooperation between the countries in energy area and so on.
