OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2012. In 2012, purchasing capacity of citizens will come up to pre-crisis level. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in the interview at the Khmelnitsky Regional State "Podillia Center" TV and Radio Company.

"In 2008, the consuming capacity amounted to 320-340 dollars. At the end of 2008, our Hryvnia was fall from 4.5 to 8.5 UAH per dollar. That is our purchasing capacity has decreased almost twice. In 2010-2011 we began to gradually increase it, ensured exchange rate stability and that's only now, in 2012, we will achieve the same purchasing power that was before the crisis period," Mykola Azarov noted.

In addition, the PM emphasized that he cites data in purchasing power in dollar terms, as in the consumer market of Ukraine a significant share of export of goods purchased for hard currency, and the purchasing capacity of our citizens are largely are pegging of dollar.

Mykola Azarov recalled that this year Ukraine would come up to the level of nominal GDP in dollar terms at pre-crisis level of 2007.
