OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2012. A delegation of HCL Technologies Ltd. (India) led by its Senior Vice President Rajiv Sodhi visited a branch Center for personnel development and Uzbektelecom.

The memorandum of understanding was signed between the UzACI and Ministry of communication and technologies of India on information technologies within the visit of the Uzbek President to India in May 2011. The document sets priority directions of bilateral cooperation in this area.

Within the implementation of the memorandum, the sides inked a joint action plan in October 2011. One of the priorities of the plan is joint development and production of software in partnership with Indian firms. The visit of the delegation was organized to implement these tasks.

During the meeting, Mr. Mirzakhidov, the First Deputy Director-General of the UzACI, and Mr. Mahmudov, Director-General of Uzbektelecom, participated at the meeting.

At the meeting, the Indian delegation familiarized with the activity of Uzbektelecom and its branch the Center for development of telecommunication and personnel.

The sides exchanged opinion on perspective directions of cooperation in development and production of software, introduction of Indian technologies and solutions in Uzbekistan, exports of software to the CIS, etc.
